“I have the money. Can you deliver these models within ninety days?”
Steve was processing. “Sir, I need to verify this is a serious inquiry. What’s your name?”
“Marcus Webb.”
Steve’s face went blank. The name was familiar, but he could not place it. “Have we met before?”
“Yes. April 2014. I came in asking for credit to buy a used 4430. You told me I was too poor for credit. Told me to find a different career.”
