The woman's posture changed.

The homeowner noticed.

Her shoulders dropped.

Her expression softened.

Her breathing suddenly became faster.

"What are you doing?"

She did not answer.

Footsteps approached along the side walkway.

The homeowner looked toward the gate.

Someone knocked hard.

"Police department."

The homeowner walked toward it.

The HOA president moved faster.

She rushed toward him and whispered:

"You touch that gate and I'll scream."

He stopped.

She opened it herself.

A uniformed police officer stood outside.

Male.

White.

Mid-thirties.

Body camera active.

His hand rested near his belt.

"What is going on?"

The transformation happened instantly.

The HOA president stepped backward.

Her eyes widened.

Her voice trembled.

"Oh my God."

The homeowner stared at her.

She pointed toward him.

"He attacked me."

The officer's eyes moved immediately toward the homeowner.

"Sir, step back."

The homeowner stepped back.

The woman clutched her upper arm.

"He grabbed me."

The homeowner said nothing.

The officer looked toward her.

"Are you injured?"

"I don't know."

She rubbed her shoulder.

"He was screaming."

The homeowner stared.

The officer turned toward him.

"Sir, keep your hands visible."

The homeowner raised both hands slightly.

"They're visible."

"What happened?"

The woman interrupted.

"I came over to talk to him because there's been a dispute about the pool."

The homeowner looked at her.

The officer raised one hand.

"Ma'am, I'll speak with you in a second."

She stopped.

The homeowner appreciated that.

The officer looked at him.

"Your version."

The homeowner pointed toward the rear fence.

"She climbed over that fence into my backyard."

The officer looked.

The HOA president immediately interrupted again.

"There's an access dispute."

The officer turned sharply.

"Ma'am."

She stopped.

The homeowner continued.

"I told her to leave."

The officer nodded.

"Then?"

"She refused."

"And after that?"

"She called you."

The officer looked toward the woman.

"You called?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

The homeowner continued.

"Then she grabbed my shirt."

The woman scoffed loudly.

"That is a lie."

The officer looked at her.

"I said wait."

The woman folded her arms.

The officer looked back at the homeowner.

"Did you touch her?"

"I held her wrists for about one second because she was holding my shirt."
